Too (Re)tired to Walk?

imgres-2-165804We don’t think so. That’s why we are starting a walking group for retired folks under the guidance of our recently retired 75-year-old John Pitcairn. John is a former Certified ChiWalking Instructor and former Co-Director of Jeff Galloway’s Run-Walk-Run Marathon Training Program.

Walks will be on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:15am starting from the Runner’s Edge basement and last from 30 to 90 minutes, mostly on roads, some on paved trails.

We envision a casual, relaxed day of healthy exercise with lots of chit-chat, socializing and some heavy breathing on hills.

Retired runners and run-walk-run folks looking for a cross training or recovery day, and those rehabbing from injury or surgery, please join us for a healthy walk. Rehabbers don’t have to be retired. Almost-retired? OK, you are welcome too. Just no sprinting ahead. And beginners… take more than your first step with us.
