Running. Walking. Wine. Food. Music. Massage. Friends. All in the heart of Missoula along the banks of the mighty Clark Fork River. Come celebrate the beginning of Summer with us!
Why is it called the Striped Pig? The name of the race is a tip of the hat to the creative businessmen of the prohibition era who used to skirt alcohol laws by attracting thirsty spectators to buy a ticket to see a painted striped pig in a tent. Though the pig was what folks purchased a ticket for, everyone was really there for the free glass of rum served within the tent. This is not a far cry from our own version of the striped pig attraction. Sure, we all signed up for the race, but we are sticking around for the wine!
