The health and safety of our participants has and will always be our greatest priority. Due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, and following recommendations from the CDC, we are postponing the 2020 Bitterroot Runoff.
The reschedule date is set for October 4th, 2020. Some of you may notice this is the same date as the Hootenanny 50k. For 2020, we will be combining events for fun weekend of trail running. Current participants are automatically registered for the new date.
For those who cannot attend the fall event, we are offering a full refund (minus the $5 processing fee). Participants will have until July 1st to refund their registration, so there is no hurry. Directions for how to process a refund are located in the Refund Policy section below.
The Bitterroot Runoff Trail Runs are held on beautiful single track trails in the hills above Lolo, Montana. There are two options – a 9.7 mile course or a 5.2 mile course – and an incredible post-race brunch at the finish line for racers. Come join us to kick off the beginning of trail running season in Montana!
“The racecourse and the surrounding scenery are absolutely gorgeous. What privilege to enjoy this amazing Montana landscape while enjoying the benefits of an extremely well-managed event.”
“Bitterroot Runoff is a great way to get the trail running season started. The course is fast yet challenging, and on a good year, you might even get to see a few elk out there.”
“Another top-notch Runner’s Edge event! I ran the 9.7-mile course and it was a great combination of tough climbs and fun descents. From the supportive volunteers to the generous after race brunch, every detail was thought of. I am looking forward to running this race again.”
